Selling Bulls for Over 50 Years!
Carter Angus Farms started in 1960 as a registered Angus cow- calf operation by Bobby “Brad” Carter who was born in 1928 and raised in South Pittsburg, TN. By the 1970’s Bobby Brad and a few of his good friends recognized that farmers in the Sequatchie Valley had limited choice of Angus genetics in the region and travelled to Oklahoma to purchase bulls in order to provide improved genetics to cattle producers in the Sequatchie Valley. Their efforts turned out to be a success and during this time, Bobby Brad had one of the first top performing bulls in the newly created University of Tennessee Bull Test Station in Columbia, TN. Bobby Brad has always loved his cattle and enjoys making pets of the young bulls he sells to local farmers.
Carter Farm Angus genetics continued to improve over the years when both Daniel and Rachel Carter attended the Mississippi State Artificial Insemination School in the year 2000. After 15 years of selective breeding, we are confident our bulls are of the same high quality of any of the large Angus producers in the country. Our bulls will meet the Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program (TAEP) requirements. Buyers of Carter Bulls always come back because they appreciate owning a calm herd bull with quality genetics.
